IALA represents professionally operated assisted living communities dedicated to providing high quality care and services. Our membership includes individual, nonprofit communities, and national providers.
IALA members don't need CEUs to maintain relevance in our association! Our association focuses on MEMBERS and Member NEEDS. IALA provides cost effective membership dues and education opportunities that are not driven by organization overhead.
Membership Value
Representation of Members. IALA staff and lobbyist work to ensure that our members’ organizational goals and industry interests are well represented to Iowa’s legislators at the state and federal levels. IALA staff have years of experience collaborating with government, policy, industry, and grassroots organizations.
Provider Networking Opportunities. Our members are provided with opportunities to share best practices ideas and policy concerns with their peers at regional and state levels. Assisted living industry providers have a voice within our association. That voice actively works to promote the expertise and services they provide through IALA organizational and education opportunities.
Education. Education is IALA's cornerstone. Our members receive quality education at reduced rates through seminars, trainings, conferences, and online courses. Members also have access to ALFA education opportunities in conjunction with IALA's online resources.
Information. Our members keep up to date on the latest in assisted living news through our member website, newsletter, and e-mail notices.
ALFA Membership. IALA members are also members of the Assisted Living Federation of America located in Washington D.C. ALFA is the largest association dedicated solely to assisted living in the nation. ALFA represents the interests of assisted living providers at the federal level and recognized as one of the most respected lobbying associations in our nations capitol.

The
Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) is a national nonprofit membership organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life in assisted living residences and promoting the interests of the assisted living industry.
Our affiliation with the national organization lets Provider Members receive complimentary issues of the ALFA Advisor, a magazine called Assisted Living Executive; an Executive Insights email and discounts for products and educational seminars. All of these communication pieces will keep you updated on the current issues affecting the industry.
